The Story Behind Faire La Nouba
Founded by Rachael and Navy veteran Brian Tolbert, Faire La Nouba (which translates to "live it up" in French) was born from a love of thoughtfully curated goods that bring people together. More than just a shop, it’s a place to build connection, community, and meaningful moments — where every item is chosen to spark joy and make life feel a little more special, from everyday gatherings to life’s biggest celebrations.

Rachael Tolbert
Founder, Curator
Following what can only be described as an undiagnosed midlife crisis, Rach left the corporate world behind and headed for historic restoration, small-town life, and a little more joy. Today, she spends her days curating Faire La Nouba, planning parties, and soundtracking it all with French lounge music.
Brian Tolbert
Husband, Domino Czar
Brian is the co-owner, chief furniture mover, and occasional bartender at Faire La Nouba. A Bastrop native, Navy veteran, and CEO of Operation Turkey, he’s known for his quiet precision, generous spirit, and fresh popcorn skills.
Christopher Hobbs
Beverage Director
Chris is the well-dressed force behind Faire La Nouba’s wine and beer program. Originally from the Chicago area, he brings equal parts sophistication and Texas grit — and if there’s a bottle you’d love to see in the shop, he’s the one to ask.
